The Apple iPhone 4 is without a doubt on everybody’s wish list, the phone is packing two cameras, a super advanced touch screen, HD video recording, and access to as many apps as you can shake a really big stick at. The iPhone has been quite a consistent player in the smartphone market for a while now, and in its time it has become a distinctive style icon with its high tech screen and sleek design. The phone comes in a white or black option with either a 16GB or 32GB flash drive.
The iPhone 4 takes on a slightly more urban, industrial look with an exposed stainless steel band the main mounting point for the internal components and a highly durable glass chassis which is coated in an oleophobic membrane for scratch and smudge resistance. The 3.5 inch Retina Display has a super awesome 960 x 640 pixel resolution which renders the human eye unable to recognize individual pixels. The screen utilises an 800:1 typical contrast ratio to bring some of the clearest most gorgeous on-screen imagery possible.
Apple has provided iPhone 4 users with a brand new interface to work with, which is strikingly similar to the old one, only it is much slicker and smoother. The iOS4 is very easy to use and exploits the multi-touch input method to the limit. The UI can be flipped to widescreen view via the built-in accelerometer and a three-axis gyro allows the phone to perform with three dimensional movements.
Accessing the internet can be done via Wi Fi or 3G, so you are well covered there while support for social networking and e-mail comes naturally. You can use dedicated e-mail, Facebook and Twitter apps to manage your accounts and standard support for SMS, MMS and Instant Messaging is standard protocol. Apple has thrown in satellite navigation with A-GPS and a range of application based support, you also get cellular network coverage and Bluetooth technology for wireless hardware communication.
A well equipped 5MP digital camera comes with LED flash and various tap focus features; it can film in gorgeous 720p HD quality at 30 fps, stills can be captures in high resolution and all of your work can be shared online with such sites as Facebook and YouTube. Apple iPhone 4 users also benefit from a front mounted camera for live FaceTime calls with other compatible users. The iPhone 4 has been pre-loaded with a highly capable video player with the ability to play almost any video format, and an iPod with similar capabilities. The phone has a 3.5mm audio connection for headphone use and also supports FM radio for user to keep up with there favourite shows.
The Apple iPhone 4 is super advanced in all aspects of mobile technology, the phone looks bold and durable as well as fashionable. The Retina Display is technologically groundbreaking while access to the App Store opens up endless customization possibilities. The iPhone 4 was highly anticipated and despite it being on our shelves for a few months now it hasn’t lost any of its desirablility.
