The Blackberry Curve 3G has been pre-loaded with great multimedia support

RIM have added a twist to there latest Curve model; being called the Curve 3G 9300, it is pretty obvious what that twist is. Where previous Curve’s were lacking the new one supplies, the 3G network coverage allows for a much smoother and faster online experience. The device has better social networking and boasts a chrome trim for additional style. The Curve 3G also boasts a digital camera, multimedia player, Bluetooth, Wi Fi and GPS.
Though the phone looks remarkably similar, if not the same as the Curve 8520 it does have a one or two aesthetic differences, the obvious one is the chrome trim on the outer casing. RIM have stuck with the optical track pad as the prime form of interface navigation and the transmissive, LCD screen has also been unchanged. The keyboard is one of the best around thanks to its individually mounted keys.
The Curve 3G has been loaded with plenty of communications options, not only do you get your basic calling and messaging features, but they have also included BBM (Blackberry Messenger) e-mail integration and compatibility for other popular IM’s (instant messengers) like Google Talk and WindowsLive. Thanks to the phones 3G band coverage, social networking plays a big part here. Dedicated applications can be used to manage your Facebook, MySpace and Twitter accounts.
Going online is a much smoother event than it is on the 8520, fast download speeds and reliable connectivity allow users to perform all there online activities quickly and efficiently. RIM has made the Curve 3G compatible with a number of Google services with YouTube being one of them. You can use the 2MP digital camera to record videos and upload them for the world to see, you can also upload content to your social networks.
The built-in GPS supports the devices Blackberry Maps feature for optimized navigation. RIM have given the Curve 3G full access to the Blackberry App World so users can enrich there collection with tons of additional, downloadable applications, apps ranging from navigational support to gaming can be added to your phones software. Users can also synchronize there Curve 3G with there computer, so the calendar, multimedia player and organiser can be managed via PC desktop.
The Blackberry Curve 3G has been pre-loaded with great multimedia support, the music player is capable of playing multiple audio formats including mp3 and wma. The video player also has multiple format capabilities which include the playback of MPEG4 and wmv files. Though the screen is obviously quite small, it does a fair enough job of smoothly displaying videos; downloaded or shot via the phones camera.
Blackberry owners will find the user interface on the Curve 3G to be very familiar territory indeed. The phones memory can be upgraded via the microSD slot, while users can enjoy the added security features which involve keyboard locking and password protection. RIM have basically re-released a glorified version the Curve 8520, but the combination of the easy usability and added 3G technology provides users with a very rich user experience.
