If the name is anything to go by, HTC think alot of there new Android smartphone. The HTC Legend is a super slick mobile powerhouse; the phone runs Android 2.1 with an HTC Sense paint job. The vibrant touch screen is super responsive and the aluminium casing is super durable, the device has been loaded with all the smartphone goodies would ever want; 3G, GPS and full social network management all play there part in the plentiful user experience.

The basic design of the phone was centred on the 3.2 inch capacitive, AMOLED display; the alloy uni-body casing frames the HVGA screen perfectly, with solid reliability. This device is incredibly pleasing to the eye and the single and has a luxurious feel to it. The Optical track pad acts as the main action button for interacting with the phones interface; is both responsive and unique and contributes to the phones minimalistic design. The slight curve to the Legends casing makes it very palmable and the ultra-slim dimensions make it as much pocket-able as it is comfortable to handle. The HTC Sense interface is fantastic and the device seems to really get the best out of the 600MHz processor as it whips through pages without a hint of stammer. The home screen is standard HTC make up; with a huge clock dominating, you get a live weather feed, a settings toolbar and a selection of widgets providing shortcuts to the Legends key features. The Sense UI will allow up to seven individual home screens for users to work from, with each one delivering its own functionality. To view al these screens at once, take advantage of the HTC Leap feature by pinching a home screen, now you can have a full over view on all screens. One of the several screens hosts the FriendStream application; it enables users to log into there Facebook, Flickr and Twitter accounts and check out there friends latest activities in one single stream of information; a clever feature for the many social networkers out there to keep track of there social circles on the move. Information from your friends is also integrated into there relevant contact information in the Favourites home screen. Favourites allows you to assemble you favourite friends into a grid with special functions automatically assigned to each; so if they update there profile picture on, lets say Facebook, there contact picture will also be changed. The Google based platform (Android) supplies Legend users with full access to the Android Market if they wish to build a collection of apps, there are also various other Google apps spread throughout the phone, with Google Maps covering navigation and YouTube supplying its services to the media conscious users. HTC have delighted messaging fans with integrated support for SMS, MMS, SNS, Exchange, Webmail and Instant Messaging. E-mail accounts are very simple to set up while; the IM client can be used for live chat via providers such as GoogleTalk and WindowsLive. The online aspects of the phone like the web browser and SNS compatibility are supported by 3G which is a welcome feature on any phone, but Wi Fi also has a place in the Legend, and both provide super fast download speeds. As for multimedia HTC have the Legend well prepared with a 5MP digital camera system equipped with LED flash, auto focus and a number of image settings. The camera can capture VGA quality videos at 30fps, this is more than enough and the sharing facilities allow you to upload to your social networks and YouTube. Both the music and video players will manage multiple file types while an expandable memory (up to 32GB microSD) and a 3.5mm audio jack provide there multi media support for space and sound quality.

The HTC Legend is the real deal, it is well endowed in all fields of mobile technology and boasts a superb user interface which is packed full of clever little goodies to keep the user experience fresh. HTC have provided the smartphone market with a gladiator of a phone; it is very good looking, very durable and will no doubt be a crowd pleaser with its customizability, pocket-ability and sheer classiness.
