Phone that can do EVERYTHING (no iPhone)?
Why no iPhone? Because it can’t do everything AT ONCE.
I have the Blackberry 8330. This is the BASIC measuring stick to what I am looking for. It would be the best phone ever if it were not for it being so slow. Unless the other Blackberries are faster than this please do not list them either.
I need something fast, can do more than one thing and is fluid. I like “apps” mainly things like Facebook, Pandora and Twitter. I like that on the 8330 I can listen to Pandora while using Twitter at the same time. I don’t care about useless apps like “Fart noise” and such.
Also I don’t want to pay A LOT. I am a college student so anything that is a step up from the 8330 would be nice. Also I’m hoping to get away from Sprint, they suck. I was looking into the HTC Hero or Google Android. Are these what the kids are into these days? Keep in mind the contract is 2 years and I don’t want to be stuck with out of date technolgy like i am with the 8330. Thanks!
Also hoping for video recording. (and streaming?)

I have heard the Droid ( I think motorola) is the BEST. My husband has an iPhone and he was told that the droid was really similar but that it could do several things at once and was fast. And thats verizon i believe. I have a BB8310 and you’re right its so freaking slow. I will probably never have a blackberry again. Hope I helped!
Maybe Sprint sucks, but before you veer away from them, check out the new Sprint HTC EVO 4G coming out, presumably this summer. It has some of the SICKEST specs I’ve ever seen on a phone:

I have one. Best phone I’ve ever used.
I would say the Motorola droid with Verizon Wireless. It is just like the Iphone. It has wi-fi and an app store and you can multi-task. Also, another good phone may be the Nexus One. Im not really sure about how much it is, but I heard thats better than the Iphone and Droid.
I just left a blackberry for a hero…left AT&T for Sprint. I can’t tell you how much better the hero is, faster, and the applications are easy to download. there are free ringtones. the only thing I can warn you about is the battery time. the battery on the hero STINKS. you have to plug it up every night unless you turn off the internet connection.
but I got mine for $80 off at BestBuy instead of going to the Sprint store.
so go for the android phone…it rocks
