Just like its bigger brother the Xperia X10 and X10 Mini sibling the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro has an Android operating system onboard; the phone has a digital camera and benefits from a full QWERTY keyboard which has been attached via a reliable slider mechanism for messaging support. The phones 2.5 inch QVGA touch sensitive display is very responsive and looks very bright. With Wi Fi, 3G, WisePilot and GPS the phone is well connected and covers navigation with ease.
The phone has the same cute appeal and playability as the regular X10 Mini, it is only 7mm taller and 1mm thicker than it Mini twin, even with the added QWERTY keyboard. It is roughly 1oz heavier with battery, but the weight difference is not that noticeable, it comes in black, red and pearl white and has been focused on the young messaging crowd. The X10 Mini Pro doesn’t lack any charm of its own, its bright screen looks fantastic framed with its glitzy glass frame.
The X10 Mini Pro has the same slice of the TimeScape pie as the X10 Mini, again the tweaked version of the UI manages to translate well into the smaller handset and the same social networking services are provided with Facebook and Twitter integration, full management is possible while there is a constant stream of status updates, tweets and emails displayed in one easy to see flow. Also with e-mail support pre-installed the X10 Mini Pro has the full messaging package, IM and SMS are obviously provided and typing is made easy with the QWERTY keyboard at your disposal.
The 5 mega pixel camera is very capable of capturing those special moments for instant upload to your personal networks. The device can shoot video in high resolution and with YouTube integration they can be easily shared with the world. The camera has an integrated flash and auto focus for optimised shooting and there is geo-tagging for additional image information like location, the gallery is accessible from the main screen, it allows you to scroll through your photos by gliding your finger through your collection, there is also a selection of image editing tools for laughs.
Sony Ericsson have gifted the X10 Mini Pro with the same awesome media player the rest of there collection has, it can easily play a variety of audio and video files like mp3, mp4, wav and wma, the sound quality as with all of there new Android devices is perfect and the video quality is crisp and clear. The phone has an expandable memory with microSD cards up to 16GB manageable. There is a USB port for PC synch and Bluetooth technology for wireless file transfer.
